Features

Everything a shooting logbook should be

Replace the spiral notebook in your range bag with something that does the math, remembers everything, and shows you exactly where you’re improving.

Live shooting score tracker

Tap each shot as it happens. Shotlog calculates totals, averages, X-count, and inner-ring hits while you stay focused on your target. Practice or competitive mode, 5 / 6 / 10-shot series, every discipline covered.

Statistics that actually teach you

See your trend over weeks and months, not just one session. Filter by tag, date range, or session type. Spot the firearm that misbehaves, the discipline you neglect, and the day of the week your groups tighten up.

Built-in shot timer

A practical-shooting interval timer designed by people who actually use one. Pre-built profiles for popular drills, or build your own steps with countdown and count-up phases. No more juggling external apps.

Firearms & maintenance log

Track every firearm in your safe. Round count is logged automatically as you shoot. Schedule maintenance intervals, log cleanings and service, and never forget which one is overdue again.

Use cases

One app, every kind of practice

01

At the range

Tap shots in as you go. The score is right when the round ends. Tag the session, note your firearm, and move on.

02

Competition prep

Switch to Competitive mode. Track shots-per-round per discipline. Compare today against last month, last year, last season.

03

Multiple firearms

Each rifle, pistol, or shotgun gets its own round counter and maintenance schedule. The rifle you only shoot in summer is still tracked.

Shotlog statistics screen showing shot distribution histogram and series comparison bar chart

Stats that teach you

Where every shot lands — and what that means

See the shape of your shooting. Shot Distribution shows you exactly which numbers come up most often — and which ones you’re losing points to. Series Comparison stacks every round in the session side-by-side, so the round you tightened up on jumps off the page.

  • Shot distribution histogram, X through 0
  • Series-by-series score comparison
  • Trends across sessions, weeks, and months

Why switch

Paper notebook vs spreadsheet vs Shotlog

Most shooters still log on paper. It works — until you want to look back at a season. Here’s what changes when the logbook is a real app.

Ranking system

From Lucky Luke to Wild Bill

Every shot you log moves you up the ranks. It’s a small thing, but it turns “sit down and log my session” into something you actually want to do.

Six tiers, themed after Wild West marksmen. Where will you end up by the end of the season?

  1. 1 Lucky Luke Starter
  2. 2 Greenhorn Novice
  3. 3 Saddle Tramp Practiced
  4. 4 Sharpshooter Skilled
  5. 5 Bounty Hunter Advanced
  6. 6 Wild Bill Master

FAQ

Questions shooters actually ask

How do I track shooting scores digitally?

Shotlog lets you tap each shot in as you fire it. Scores total live, average updates after every round, and X / inner-ring counts roll up automatically. Every session is stored in the cloud so your history follows you across devices.

Can I log practice and competition sessions separately?

Yes. Each session is tagged Practice or Competitive, and you can filter analytics to either mode independently. Add free-form tags on top to slice by discipline, range, or anything else you care about.

Does Shotlog work for both rifle and pistol shooting?

Yes. Shotlog is built around the score, not a specific discipline. Rifle, pistol, shotgun, air rifle, biathlon — anything scored 0–10 with X / inner-ring tracking fits. Set your shots-per-round per session to match your discipline.

How do I track maintenance for multiple firearms?

Add each firearm to the app and set a maintenance interval (rounds between cleanings). Shotlog increments the round count automatically every time you log a session against that firearm, and reminds you when service is due.

What scoring systems are supported?

Shotlog supports 0–10 scoring with X (center hit) and inner-ring tracking. Series of 5, 6, or 10 shots are all built in — choose what fits your discipline when you create the session.

Is my shooting data private?

Your data is yours. Sessions are scoped to your account, encrypted in transit, and never shared with third parties. You can export or delete everything from inside the app.

Is Shotlog free?

Yes. Logging sessions, recording scores, climbing the marksman ranks, and basic session history are free forever. Pro unlocks advanced analytics, firearms tracking, the integrated shot timer, session tags, and more.

Which languages does Shotlog support?

English, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, German, French, Italian, and Spanish — the app picks up your phone’s language automatically.
